Symbiosis International University PhD Entrance Examination- Economics (SIU PhD Economic Test) is an entrance test conducted by Symbiosis International University for the selection of excellent candidates for the admission into the PhD programmes offered by the University

SYMBIOSIS 2012 Eligibility

Candidates the following eligibility criteria can appear for the SYMBIOSIS 2012 Entrance Exam:
1. The candidate, at the time of submission of application, has done academic work in the subject area leading to the publication of at least three research papers in refereed journals in his/her concerned faculty.
2. Candidates who have a Masters Degree in the specialized subjects with 55% marks from any recognized University can apply for the PhD programme.
3. The SC/ST candidates need to secure 45% marks in their Master’s Degree exam can also apply for the programme.
4. There is certain relaxation provided for the SC/ST/OBC/PH students as per the Indian government Rule.
5. The candidates who have not attending the entrance exam can also get admission for the PhD courses. But they have to pass any exams like NET/SET/GATE/JRF/M.Phil etc
